Selling on eBay can be profitable for a small business.    The Business & Social Sciences Division of the Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County and the PathStone Enterprise Center are sponsoring a free program on Saturday, October 2  from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Kate Gleason Auditorium of the Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building located at 115 South Avenue, Rochester. 

Kathleen English, Top Rated Seller, Power Seller and eBay Education Specialist, will present “Selling on eBay—The Basics for Small Business.”  The program will cover how a small business can expand its market to millions of registered eBay users by becoming an eBay seller.  eBay sales basics will include product description, pricing, payment, shipping and more.

This is an all-day program.  Bring your own lunch to the program.  Coffee and water will be provided.  During lunch time, Kathleen will continue the program with demonstrations.

Workshop

  Careful planning is essential for starting a small business. The Business & Social Sciences Division of the Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County and the SUNY College at Brockport Small Business Development Center (SBDC) are sponsoring a free program on Wednesday morning, September 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Kate Gleason Auditorium of the Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building located at 115 South Avenue, Rochester. 

Jan Pisanczyn, Director of the Small Business Development Center, will present “Small Business StartUp—Doing It Right.” Those attending will learn about key issues that need to be considered when starting a small business.  Topics discussed will include feasibility, legal structure, financing, business plan basics and more.  The program is appropriate for both first-time entrepreneurs and those who have recently started a small business.
