Small Business workshop

Good recordkeeping is essential for a successful small business. The Business & Social Sciences Division of the Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County and the SUNY College at Brockport Small Business Development Center (SBDC) are sponsoring a free program on Wednesday morning, February 10 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Kate Gleason Auditorium of the Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building located at 115 South Avenue, Rochester.Ralph M. Toscano, Jr., EA ATP, will present “The Importance of Good Recordkeeping in a Small Business, Especially for Schedule C Tax Filers.”   The program will cover the legal issues facing today’s small business owner.  Emphasis will be on the need for the documentation of business records and an example of the tax responsibilities of the self-employed (IRS Schedule C).Pre-registration for this free program is requested.  Register by calling the Central Library at 585-428-8130 or register online at  Click on Library Events.The Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County is handicapped accessible.  Accommodations may be provided for disabled program participants and must be made at least 10 business days before the program.  For further information or to make a request, please contact Deborah Nevin, Program Coordinator, at 428-8304.
