If you access the Democrat and Chronicle’s website at www.democratandchronicle.comand then select the tab Roc docs and then look for more databases & maps and then “new businesses”. It includes filings in Monroe County since April 11, 2007. You can also search it. Check it out when you get a chance.
The Business & Social Sciences Division and the Suny Brockport Small Business Development Center are sponsoring a Free Program on Thurs. Morning Nov. 20th from 10-12 p.m. in the Gleason Auditorium. The Name of the program is “The Importance of Good Recordkeeping in a Small Business, Especially for Schedule C Tax Filers”. Ralph Toscano of the Small Business Development Center will present this program. The program will cover the legal issues facing today’s small business owner. Emphasis will be on the need for the documentation of business records and an example of the tax responsibilities of the self-employed (IRS Schedule C). We also have a complete set of the New York Statutes. We can not provide legal advice, but we can assist you with finding basic information about the law.
